he Little Falls Athletic Club proudly offers
$1,500 college scholarships
annually to a pair of graduating High School seniors, one boy and one girl. The award is
named for the late William Lambert, a club member who devoted many years to the LFAC's
efforts to provide annual scholarships to the youth of Little Falls.

order to be eligible to receive an award, a student must have participated
in at least one youth sports program sponsored by the LFAC. A student does not have to be a current
resident of Little Falls in order to apply for a scholarship.
nnual
winners are selected by a three-person committee which rates each
candidate on a scale of 0 to 5 in five different categories: Academic Achievement;
Financial Need; Community Service, Leadership and Career Objectives; Candidate's Level of
LFAC Participation; and Parents' Level of LFAC Participation. Points are totaled
and the
scholarships awarded to the candidates with the highest scores. Ties are broken at the
discretion of the committee members.
rea schools that have recently participated in this program include
Passaic Valley High School, DePaul High School, Mt. St. Dominic Academy,
Montclair-Kimberly Academy, Bergen Catholic High School, St. Peter's Prep and Lacordaire
Academy. Applications are sent to the Guidance Departments of area High
Schools in mid-January.

candidates must fill out the form and arrange for their
transcripts (current at least through the first marking period) to be attached. Completed
applications must be received by the LFAC by April 15th; selection takes place in early May.
Scholarship awards are distributed in a single payment in June. Recipients must submit a copy
of their acceptance letter to confirm their entry into college in the fall.
