We offer co-ed recreational basketball for players in
grades K through 8. Our
participants play in the following divisions:
- Clinic: A co-ed instructional program for
all children in Kindergarten, First and Second Grade. The Kindergarten and First Grade
programs feature drills and activities to introduce our youngest players to the game.
Second Graders are introduced to game-like situations but continue to concentrate on
fundamental skills.
- Junior Girls: A competitive program;
modified rules for girls in Grades 3 through 5.
- Junior Boys: A competitive program;
modified rules for boys in Grades 3 through 5.
- Senior Girls: A competitive program for
girls in Grades 6 through 8.
- Senior Boys: A competitive program for boys
in Grades 6 through 8.
Practices begin at the beginning of November. The
playing season runs from the beginning of December until mid-February, with playoffs in
late February.
In addition, the LFAC also sponsors Girls' All-Star
teams in Junior and Senior age group divisions. |
